A selection of gold jewelry and Faberge eggs that once belonged to one of Russia’s imperial families has gone on display in Monaco.
Splendours of the Romanovs (last Russia imperator) exhibition runs until September 13th at the Grimaldi Forum and displays the various treasures of the Romanov dynasty, which ruled Russia between the 17th and early 20th centuries.
Among these are Queen Marie of Serbia’s diadem, made with gold and various precious stones, as well as a gold Cartier brooch.
A selection of gold, jewelled Faberge Easter eggs made for czars Alexander III and Nicholas II until 1917 are also on show.
